On The Edge by Brittney Sahin

35262220

Synopsis
I once lived in two different worlds--billionaire businessman by day, fighter by night. When the suit came off, the gloves came on.

It's been five years since I last stepped into the Octagon, since my life spun out of control. But when my best mate, Les, lands himself in trouble with a notorious Dublin crime lord, I must break my promises. I have to do the one thing I vowed never to do: fight.

I have to fight to save him and everyone in his life . . . including Anna Drake, the innocent and gorgeous woman Les tricked into rooming with him.

Anna Drake is off limits. She's innocent and sweet--everything that I'm not. She's also interning at my company--a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I have to pull her and Les out of the mess that he's made. But the more time we spend together, the more I'm falling for her. And the more I fight, the more I crave it. I don't deserve Anna . . . and yet, without her, I'm not sure if I can save myself.

Review
This was my first book by this author and I absolutely inhaled it. Action packed, interesting story line filled with characters you find yourself routing for. I enjoyed Adam and Anna's journey and how they looked out for each other. Love is never giving up when things get difficult and accepting each other completely.

About Author
Brittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing--never stopped imagining.

It wasn't until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students' advice and begin to write again.

In 2015, she published her first novel, Silenced Memories (The Safe Bet). When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys, and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.

Red Carpet Romeo (The Royal Romeos Book 3) by [Gardiner, Jenny]

Blurb
Look who’s grown up now…
Valentina Romeo loved a romantic wedding, and couldn’t wait to serve as an attendant in her favorite cousin Prince Luca of Monaforte’s upcoming nuptials. She and Luca had revealed in childhood summers at the family estate on the Ligurian Sea. Many of her fondest memories were made there, along with one of her most humiliating, when Luca’s college roommate Parker shunned her brave declaration of love.
Investment banker Parker Hornsby hadn’t been back to Monaforte since he was in college. Back then he’d spent a glorious summer enjoying idyllic days at his best friend Luca’s family beach home. The fun was marred only by Luca’s obtrusive younger cousin Valentina, who could barely mask her crush on Parker, forcing him to flatly cut her off before she got her hopes up. The last thing Parker wanted was to be accused of going after his friend’s jailbait cousin, even if she was about the sweetest fourteen-year old girl he’d ever met.
But when Parker shows up in Monaforte, paired in Luca’s wedding with Valentina, all bets are off on whether he can restrain himself from the beautiful—and fully grown-up—heiress to the world-famous Romeo wine label, or whether she remains the nemesis she thinks he is.

My Review
I have been absolutely loving the Romeo family and was very excited to read the story of the only female sibling Valentina Romeo. Book three not only brings us that story, but also the royal wedding of Prince Luca (the cousin to the Romeo siblings) and Larkin. You should remember them from book eight of the It's Reigning Men series, A Court Gesture. Valentina Romeo and Parker Hornsby are both attendants in the Royal wedding and they had met before. Their prior meeting definitely left an impact on Valentina and the sparks flew at the week-long royal wedding prep.
This was such a fascinating read and I can not wait to read Blue Color Romeo and the continuing story of the Romeo family.

Billionaire Romance

Blurb:
As the crown prince of Dubreva, Phillip lived a life without regrets. Until now.
Disgraced and humiliated by his very public break-up with his ex- fiancĂ©e, Phillip just wants to move on with his life as quietly as a billionaire prince can.
He can't avoid his duties to his people--but he never expected to be thrown into the path of a beautiful CEO who's even more famous than he is. And richer. Not to mention, the media empire she built from the ground up is watching his every move.
Lucky for him, she's not at all interested in helping him find redemption. Then again, Phillip may be falling for her. If only she would stop being such a royal pain.

My Review

Much like a Phoenix, something strong and powerful can rise from the ashes. I very much enjoyed reading Phillip and Jessica's story. Even the rich and royal make mistakes. Traveling from page to page watching these characters grow and over come was astonishing. Well rounded characters and an intriguing plot has me secretly hoping they'll be more in this world. It'll be nice to hear how Henry is healing!

Black Sheep Romeo by Jenny Gardiner

The Royal Romeos, Book 2
Romance Genre

Blurb
Sometimes trouble seems to find Matteo Romeo whether he seeks it out or not. Long regarded as the black sheep of the famed Romeo winemaking family, he’s hardly surprised when he finds himself in yet another predicament, this time harboring an unauthorized farmhand who he’s discovered hiding in a tool shed just as the grape harvest gets underway.
Freespirited Lizzie Moretti has long prized her independence. Lizzie’s been wandering around the world, working odd jobs to earn just enough money to keep on the go. Forced to flee an aggressive host in the middle of a rainy night while working on a farm in Tuscany, she seeks the shelter of a tool shed until she can figure out a plan. Alas, it happens to be on the estate of the wealthy Romeo family on the eve of the coveted grape harvest, when strangers like Lizzie are most unwelcome.
She’s never put down roots. And he can’t seem to escape the roots that sometimes feel like they’re strangling him. They both walked away from family, but can they find salvation in the very family they’ve tried to run from?
My Review
Sometimes it's fate that brings two nomadic souls together or maybe it's just a well placed tool shed. Who knows? But, Lizzie and Matteo definitely have a journey that will make you reach for a good glass of wine.

A best friend’s little sister romance
Madison Campbell has worshipped her older brother’s best friend Parker Shaw for as long as she can remember. So the night before he leaves for the Air Force, she decides he’s leaving town with her virginity. All she has to do is transform her tomboy self into a sexy woman with a bit of borrowed makeup and some creative fashion choices. The results? One drunken kiss that Park doesn’t even remember.
Ten years later, no man has ever gotten close to her heart the way Park did. And now that he’s back, the very unfeminine Madison refuses to blow her second chance. But when her bold attempts to snag his attention (“Oops! Dropped my towel.”) fail miserably, she does something completely insane—she caves to a makeover from the meddling matchmaker in charge of The Happy Endings Book Club. Hey, Park, you want some of this? Madison is about to find out.

You can't help but root for Mad and Parker to finally find their moment in time. Plus, I absolutely adore the ladies of the Happy Ending Book Club and how they have Mad's back. Because I believe on some level everyone has felt like they were not enough.
So here's to having someone love you for who you are... boy shorts included!

Red Hot Romeo by Jenny Gardiner

The Royal Romeos, Book 1
Romance Genre

Synopsis

Love the wine you’re with…
Alessandro Romeo is burned out after finally extricating himself from a nearly year-long relationship with a hot-tempered Italian model who set fire to his Lamborghini when she suspected him of cheating. He’s sworn off the fairer sex and instead spends his waking hours overseeing the expansion of his family’s hugely successful winery in the magnificent hills of Chianti, where he is happy to never see a model again, let alone date one.
American supermodel Taylor McFarland might be blond, but she sure isn’t dumb. And she’s smart enough to know to avoid the shallow men who seem to migrate toward her type, the ones who presume that models are the wild women of the fashion industry who happily discard men like used tissues. Only Taylor’s not that type at all; instead, she’s intent on using the influence her position affords her to help those less fortunate than she.
But when her good deeds means clashing with the quintessential heartless Italian player who she’d heard left model Gia Sandretti at the altar, well, she will happily give him a piece of her mind, and certainly not a piece of her heart.

My Review

Trust is a valuable thing, just as fear is a powerful foe. Sandro Romeo and Taylor McFarland have been put through the paces by the opposite sex. One special weekend at the Romeo Vineyard could lead to so much more than a successful business launch. Provided they both can overcome the pains of their past.
I very much enjoyed book one in The Royal Romeos series. I can't wait to read more about this wine making family with the Royal ties.

Something in the Heir by Jenny Gardiner

Looking for a new author in the new year? Do you enjoy royal romance stories? I have the perfect recommendation for you! Jenny Gardiner has a wonderful series called It's Reigning Men. Read on to learn all about book one Something in the Heir.

Synopsis
Modern-day Prince Adrian of Monaforte has a most old-fashioned problem: his demanding mother wants him wed to her best friend’s daughter, the hard-partying Serena. When his refusal falls on deaf ears, Adrian decides it’s time for him to slip away from his gilded cage and figure out his life, all on his own.
As luck would have it, event photographer Emma Davison, weary of a revolving door of lost-cause men and tired of her outsider-looking-in career, is in need of her own escape clause, just in time to help a wayward prince in need. And she soon discovers that sometimes a girl’s gotta sweep a prince off his feet.

My Review

I was looking for a dose of sweet romance and I found it in this classic Cinderella story. Emma is a photographer and Adrian is the Crown Prince of Monaforte. On their journey these two find each other while finding themselves and their journey is so endearing. There is a last minute off the grid trip and perhaps the friendliest kidnapping ever.

Jenny Gardiner crafted such beautiful characters that people couldn't help, but root for. I look forward to consuming the remaining seven books in the It's Reigning Men series.
