Blurb
He was a nameless guy in a bar--a man Grace couldn't get out of her head...
A week later, she came home to find him sweaty and shirtless with a tape measure in hand, remodeling her loft. As a Parker-King, she's not allowed to want someone like Noah Dalton. She's sick of her life, though. Sick of the rules of being a Parker-King. She wants something more, even if it isn't forever. Somewhere in history, there was that one time where hot, no-strings-attached sex didn't end badly, right? Finding comfort in the arms of a former SEAL is easy, not falling for one . . . not so much.
Noah left the military and moved to New York for one reason: his daughter. Not for some uptight businesswoman--a Manhattan elitist. So when Grace offers him the kind of relationship that no hot-blooded man can turn down, he should say no. And when her seemingly put-together life spins out of control, and his instincts to protect and save kick in, he should turn away. But he doesn't.
Can two people from different worlds really live in the moment, knowing they're on borrowed time, or is someone bound to get hurt?

Extract
A splash of light shines beneath the door at the end of the hall. I swear I didn’t leave anything on this morning.
I touch the knob, a slight tremble moving down my arm and to my hand as I think back to the hotel in Greece.
My stomach tightens and burns, and my pulse skates to a faster speed. I slowly twist the handle, but my mind is protesting, begging me to run. My body is stiff and my muscles taut.
Run!
I should’ve run that night in Athens. Why’d I open that door? Why am I opening this one?
I inhale a deep breath, holding it—and it’s like the air in the room cocoons me and I can’t exhale.
I’m expecting the worst. Athens, part two. Another incident.
But once the door is wide-open, I see a man crouched over a wooden beam on the floor, a tape measurer in hand. The guy’s shirtless. His tanned, muscled back has a slight sheen of sweat down his spine.
He’s got to be part of the new remodel team I hired last weekend.
I bring a hand to my chest and try to calm down. To get my mind off Greece and back in New York.
“Who the hell are you?”
He’s a carpenter, right? I just want confirmation.
My hand goes inside my purse, and I search for my phone just in case I need to call the cops.
The man releases his tape measure and it retracts and snaps, falling with a thud to the floor. He slowly lifts his hands as if he can actually see me and I have a gun on him.
He rises to his feet. “Sorry. I work for Bella. She gave me the key.” He turns toward me.
My lungs deflate as if they’ve been poked with a needle, and I’m losing oxygen fast. It’s not because of Athens.
It’s because it’s…him.
Military Guy. Unless I’m wrong about him being military.
I’m never wrong.
“You.” His brows pull together and his hands fall to his sides.
I remove my hand from my purse and drop the bag to the floor. I’m more comfortable now that I know the shirtless guy isn’t some psychopath but in fact a construction worker.
But it’s the hot guy from the bar, which is still pretty damn bad.
“You’re Grace? I wasn’t expecting—”
“And what were you expecting?” I fold my arms and remain standing just inside the living area. He’s near the wall of windows overlooking the city on the other side of the room.
“I guess I pictured Grace as someone twice your age with a lot of cats.” A sheepish grin sweeps across his face.
I open my palms and glance to the left then right. “Do you see any cats?”
His smile deepens.
“And does my name sound old?” Maybe it does. The hyphen doesn’t help.
“Well, I don’t think that anymore. Now looking at you—Grace fits.”
I’m not sure what that’s supposed to mean, and I don’t bother to ask. I blink and try to figure out what the hell is going on.
“Are you stalking me?” I ask instead, though I know this must be crazy stupid luck that he’s now remodeling my loft. Of the millions of people in the city…

My Review
Standing up for yourself and learning to trust again are two tasks that are immensely more difficult than one thinks. Grace has been living under the restraints and expectations from her family for far too long. Burned by the opposite sex, navy seal Noah just wants his daughter. These two have a lot to overcome...
This story is packed with characters you can't help but root for, characters you want to kick in the booty, and even ones you will completely misjudge. I laughed, screamed, and cried throughout these pages and when an author can pull those emotions from a reader you know its a fantastic read, amazing escape, and the wonderfully written journey they bring you along on.

Haunted. Cursed. Helpless. Life is dangerous this close to the Door to Hell.
Half insane after the death of his wife and daughter, Rahym runs a lodge near the Door to Hell. With a sector curse that causes anyone to collapse into Hibernation after four hours of exertion, a stay at the lodge is the only way for people to cross the Karakum Desert without falling victim to fire or demonlings.
Then Nakir, an old friend and the angel leading the rebel group known as Halos, appears with a plan to break the curse. He’s brought Rahym’s childhood love Jennet whose special witch powers may be the tipping point the resistance needs to win.
But first, they’ll have to brave Hell itself.
They just need Rahym to show them the way. He’ll have to decide if he’s willing to risk his life for a cause he once believed in. Or if there’s even enough left of the world worth saving.

My Review
This standalone installment in the Charmed Legacy: Cursed Angel Watchtowers collection features Rahym Tezel as our lead hero. Nakir is a fallen angel and Jennet a witch. They travel through the Door to Hell in hopes of lifting the curse. This world is wonderfully constructed and such a fascinating plot! I honestly couldn't put it down and went to CharmedLegacy.com afterwards to find more books in the collection.

Stefan Baker, who used to be my best friend and bro, is a totally cocky bastard.
And he knows it too.
With his backwards cap, lopsided grin, and ripped bod gifted from the gods, he struts around town like he owns it.
But I won’t let him own me, no matter how hot he's gotten over the past eight years since he went off to become a pro baseball player in the major leagues - and since we had our brutal falling out and everything fell apart.
But when a hard night lands him at my front doorstep - desperately in need of a place to stay - I get one look into those rich blue eyes of his ... and realize our story is far from over.
My former "bro" and I are about to define a whole new term for the steamy, beautiful mess that's about to happen between the two of us.
My Review
I'm going, to be honest, and say I was a little worried to start this book. The title conjured up ridiculous images of a novel full of cliches and annoying frat boys but I had faith the author (one I've come to love) would deliver something amazing.
The lesson I learned from this novel is have faith and you'll be delivered something beautiful. Life is all about the gray as nothing is ever black and white folks. The only thing one ever needs to put in the blank that follows "I am" is me. You don't need to be one thing or another. You just need to be you!
You'll find this author's trademark humor and wit light up these pages as your drawn into one epic, angsty, slow-burn, yet hott romantic journey. I honestly highly recommended you give this story a read, funny title and all. Because titles or labels don't mean a thing!! I hope you love Stefan and Ryan's journey as much as I did.

Ruin of the Gods by Erin Hayes

Ruin of the Gods (The Elysium Legacies Book 3) by [Hayes, Erin]
Ruin of the Gods
Author Erin Hayes
Series The Elysium Legacies, book 3

Blurb
Hell hath no Fury. Because she’s taking a vacation.
Officer Tessa Forney is a brilliant cop with a fiery temper and a predilection for toeing the line of the law. She’s good at her job too, much to the chagrin of her by-the-book partner Raph. She just always seems to be at the right place at the right time.
What Raph doesn’t know is that Tessa is actually Tisiphone, one of the Furies of ancient Greek mythology. After breaking up with her boyfriend of five-thousand-years because he cheated on her—bastard—Tisiphone is determined to take her anger out on the bad guys during her extended mortal vacation.
But when too many gods and goddesses suddenly decide to take time off, the balance of nature is thrown into disarray. And the consequences are far bigger than Tisiphone could have ever anticipated.
These gods aren’t going on vacation—they’re being kidnapped. And she will have to find them before it’s too late.
New York Times bestselling author Erin Hayes presents Ruin of the Gods, which continues Tisiphone's story where Callie's left off in Shades of the Gods and Blood of the Gods.

My Review
The always surprising yet never dull Tisiphone is back to tell us her story in book 3 of The Elysium Legacies series. Hell's youngest Fury is still on vacation in the mortal world and keeping busy as Officer Tessa Forney. Mortals and Gods/Goddesses alike should take cover though. Because our favorite Fury is even more furious as she deals with a broken heart. Five thousand years is a long time to just get over... There's a sake up at the police station and the mortals seem to be shy some important godly influences. Can Tisiphone get to the bottom of everything before its too late?
I was beyond excited for the third book in this addictive series and totally intrigued to learn more about the fiery Fury we connected with, laughed because of, and totally wanted as a best friend from the first two books. This authors talent for crafting relatable and deep characters and storylines that will provide epic book hangovers is present and accounted for in Ruin of the Gods and this reader highly recommends you do NOT miss out!

I am relatively new to this talented author. What that means is I have several of her book on my To Be Read (TBR) list, but One Call Away was the first one I had the chance to sit down and read. What an amazing introduction to an extremely talented author! The portrait she paints with her words is one of heartache and hope. You feel what Sierra and Chase do. You laugh when they laugh. You cry when they cry and you can not help but root for their happily ever after! Definitely bumping up those other books to the top of my TBR list.

Colleen MC (The Book Lover) - “....captivating read and one that has made it into my list of 2017 favourites.”

Julia (The Romance Bibliophile) - “One Call Away was sweet, sexy, and utterly addicting, and one of my TOP FAVORITE romances of the year.”

Kelly (Kelly’s Nerdy Obsession) - “Emily writes beautifully. Her words are like a piece of art.”

Release Date: September 20th, 2017
Genre: New adult romance/ Fantasy romance

Dealing with a neurotic, overbearing mother, an uninvited cat and staring at double D's all day, it's no wonder 24-year-old Billie Angel finds herself lost in a fantasy world more often than not.

With her not so smart phone glued firmly to her hip, Billie’s life revolves around her reading apps. Chided for having her face stuck in her screen for more hours than she cares to count, Billie soon discovers that not all fantasies are in her head.

Enamored by the charismatic Hunter Williams, Billie finds herself unmistakably living the dream like something from the pages of a book. Not knowing her up from her down, Billie walks the tightrope that is the fine line between fiction and fact.

What happens when Billie finally wakes up and finds herself firmly on solid ground? Is Hunter really the man fantasies are made of, or the reality of something more?

A metaphysical romantic fantasy that will have readers rooting for Billie, a fellow bookworm!

Prologue

MY EYES WIDEN. Pressing my hand against my chest, I stare, taking in my surroundings. The huge old library in my hometown has always fascinated me. Reaching out my other hand, I touch the books on the shelves, running my fingertips along their spines. Hundreds, upon hundreds, of books that have probably been read hundreds, upon hundreds, of times. Changing so many people’s lives within a few hours or days of being read. So many different stories between those pages.

I gaze at the multitude of fantasies in utter awe.

My fingers trace their way down over the letters of the title on the paperback I’ve picked up. I don’t want to go home yet. I don’t want to hang around on the streets with my school friends. I want to run away, escape, forget about being a teenager, and forget my mum-who cares more about where her next drink is coming from than she does about me.

I need to get out of my head for a while, and this is the only way I know how.

When my dad read to me when I was small, I would get lost in the words, in the story. My imagination would take me away to another world and follow me into my dreams.

And that’s why I’m here now-this is what I need, and this is where I belong. There is where I want to stay, and I do. I spend my days with my nose stuck in a book.

I was brought up in Manchester and I am now living in the beautiful Scottish borders with my three children.

I have enjoyed writing my story as I had a pretty hard upbringing and have suffered like everyone does over the years in different situations, but everyone has a story to tell.

I just hope my story can help someone out there who is, or has been through the same sort of situations as myself.
